UK Poker Depositing/Withdrawal Options
There are several different depositing options for poker players from England. The most convenient option for both deposits and withdrawals is either NETeller or Moneybookers, which most of the best UK poker sites accept.
The thing that I like about both of these methods is the almost instantaneous speed that it takes to receive your money from your poker account. NETeller takes a matter of minutes before you receive your cash and Moneybookers does not take much longer.
Any of the other methods like using a credit card, internet banking or a bank transfer is perfectly fine when it comes to depositing money into a poker account. What you will find though is that these methods could often take up to a week or more when you try to retrieve money from your poker account.
Reacting to a loose aggressive player in the blinds
Because online poker players these days expect you to raise from position then the more aggressive players will three bet you more from the blinds. So you are going to have to find some sort of a plan to handle these aggressive players.
Firstly if you have been raising with relatively light ranges then you are going to have to start folding hands. If this is the case then you may need to reduce your opening range at the outset. This may seem like weak play but if you do not play well post flop then you may not have any option.
However if the stacks are deep enough and your opponent is chronically three betting you every time you open raise then you are going to have to fight fire with fire. Folding to a three bet is a decent line but obviously not if your opening range has been tight to begin with. However you are going to have to start putting four bets into your lines if this opponent persists in three betting you like this.
However to balance how you play back at these sorts of players then you are going to have to play post flop as well. I would be looking to play hands in position that had good post flop equity. Hands like J-10s, 10-9s etc are good candidates and this is a perfect reason as to why you shouldn't open like a maniac in position simply because you have it. In days gone by, in really rocky games then you could almost open with any two cards from position and control the hand.
This isn't the case anymore and your opponents are going to know within a very short space of time if you are getting out of line from position. One such line that aggressive LAGs take is to three bet pre-flop and then lead out on the flop with a c-bet if they get called. This then puts the emphasis on hitting the flop on you the initial raiser. This is all supposing of course that you call and don't fold or four bet. The four bet is the obvious play but the better loose aggressive players will expect the move.
It is for this reason why the five bet shove has become in vogue. An aggressive player opens from position and another aggressive player three bets from the blinds. Then the original raiser senses that his opponent is playing back at him and so four bets. But this is multi-level thinking at its best because the big blind anticipates the move and five bet shoves all in.
It is for this reason why raising and re-raising is now called three betting, four betting and five betting. Otherwise if you were trying to say this out loud then re-re-re-raising would start to become and sound rather silly. But the point of this article was to show how to react to aggressive players in the blinds when they three bet you out of position.
